The Fleur de Lis Black Design
Part of the official seal of the city of Louisville, the fleur-de-lis is a symbol that represents French aid given during the Revolutionary War. Here, the symbol takes beautiful shape with a slightly raised, shiny black glaze. Hand-painted bands of black and a glassy white overglaze lend further distinction and elegance to the pattern, a perfect token of Kentucky.

Just remember to bring the piece to room temperature between heating and refrigerating. As with any stoneware item, extreme variations in temperature may cause cracking or breakage.
